I'm a bit confused on how to use and apply the Z-5 Pro from Zaino. I've got some swirl marks and light scratches I want to cover up for now. How do i go by doing this? I was thinking of doing the following, let me know if I'm on the right track:

Liquid Dawn wash then,
Clay bar then,
Z-5 Pro

Is this enough to fix my swirl/light scratch marks delima and give me that deep wet look along with some protection?

I think I got these from a dirty clay bar, right next to the light you see the haze of the light scratches:

My berlina black was delivered with 6 miles AND scratches and swirls. I finally tried Zaino a few months ago and the scratches and swirls are much less noticable. I am up to 4 coats of Z5 and the scratches and swirls will probably never go away completely unless I opt for a professional buffing.

 

No wax or sealant will completely hide swirls & scratches. The only way to get rid of them is to polish. It can be done by hand, but it's a back-breaking, time consuming, tedious process when done by hand. Doing it by machine is much easier, faster, and more effective. Plus, the cost of having a professional who's any good do it is about the same cost as the supplies to do it yourself. Except if you buy the supplies yourself you can polish the car many, many, many times for this cost. It's very easy to do and all the guys in the Wash & Wax forum are here to guide you through it.

 

Leave the Z5 on the shelf. It's time to remove those and not just attempt to cover them up.

 

I agree. I have tried to do it MANY times by hand and have had no success. I can't wait to get my Porter Cable!

 

The Lowe's stores around my area are beginning to phase out the PC 7336. 1 out of 3 stores no longer have them in stock, and the remaining 2 sell them for $119 instead of $109 like before. Glad I got mine in time!

If your clay bar touches the ground "THROW IT AWAY" clay kit $15 or new paint $1500-3000
when the bar looks dirty or the spray lub is gone get another kit

 

Never said i was using Dawn. I've read on zaino's site and autotopia to use it just to take off all the oils and waxes when you are ready to apply certain products.

 

Yes, Porter Cable raised the price of the machine. So, it's more expensive pretty much everywhere.

 

I think they're finding out that more people are becoming W&W wackos!
