1) Do the version 2 dampers directly bolt onto the original sockets/brackets?
2) How much for the silver/chrome dampers for local pickup?
Man, I'm tempted to get these. I'm sick of having to walk around the fender to reach the hood.
1) it is not version 2. it's call "half pressured" hood dampers & they do bolt onto the regular hood damper's sockets/brackets. all hood dampers only sold as a complete set.
2) silver/chrome $100 pick-up. these are for the OEM hoods only.
Hey I have NRG ETD sitting in my garage over couple months now,
What are the black rubber things in the box?????
do i have to use it? and how tight should i go with bolts?
Bolts on your pictures seem not that tight.
Thanks.
Oh and, since AC line is resting on the damper, is it going to create at hole on it?
If so, is there anyway to prevent it?
What's the difference b/w the half pressured hood dampers and the ones made strictly for OEM hoods?
"Note below may or may not be done. Now only the original Engine Torque Damper will be for sale.
NEW VERSION OF RE-WORK ENGINE TORQUE DAMPER. IT WILL HAVE THE FUSE BOX MOUNT & AC LINE WILL NOT REST ON DAMPER (UNLIKE J'S RACING ETD WHICH RUBS ON AC LINE & EVENTUALLY WILL CREATE A HOLE SMALL ENOUGH TO LEAK). WE ARE CURRENTLY TRYING TO MEET THESE REQUIREMENTS."
Does that mean the current torque dampers being sold will eventually create a small hole as well? Anyone have this mod that can vouch for it?
