AnnualCreditReport.com
anyone used the service of that site?? anyone who's used it, do you have any feedback, possitive or negative, you can provide me concerning your experience?? is it as simple as merely requesting your free reports, or will they stick you with other offers that you don't care for and may cost you money in the future??

annualcreditreport.com is the best free way to protect yourself from ID theft. Split up the reports so you can pull from a different agency every four months.
not that i know of. i just used that site last night, actually. i didn't know about splitting up the agencies up though, i thought if i pulled it once from any of the sites it would reset my 12 month limit for them all...whoops. reports are free but you have to pay for your score. experian is $5.95. transunion was $6 or $7 a year and a half ago (see below), and the other place is $7.95.
one thing, i used transunion about a year and a half ago. apparently i had a username and password, so when i tried to check it this time it wouldn't let me proceed until i had entered that info (it knows you have a login based on your personal info supplied by annualcreditreport.com). but nothing worked. so i did the 'forgot username/password' thing, and it told me it couldn't help. it knows i have a name/pass because of my info, but it somehow doesn't know what it is. so now what? pretty dumb. i got my score from experian instead.
