Default Which turbo kit for 350whp on 91 octane?

Hello F.I. experts,

My goal is to buy a turbo kit that will make at least 350whp on 91 octane with minimal lag and excellent boost response. This car is used as a daily driver and for about 20 DE/lapping/time-trial events per year.

I am prepared to buy all the required supporting mods (fuel system, clutch, gauges, etc). If the turbo system requires an EWG it would have to plumb back into the exhaust to keep the noise down.

Can you please suggest which are the best kits to consider? Cost is not my main concern; I want top quality parts, no BS performance and excellent service.

Thanks

I believe that if that is all the power any of the current turbos will get you close to your goal. Price=quality and craftsmanship. Just remember that. You can look at my sig for what I prefer but all of us have liked the kits that many others from like Inline-Pro and Lovefab have provided to the community I just happened to like the relationship with Geoff Racier better.

InlinePRO or Ultimate Racing. Spec out a GT30R turbo.

I'd say something with the GT3071R turbo. Maybe Full Race.

Good info guys! So far we have InlinePRO, Full-Race and Ultimate Racing. Are there other well respected turbo kit companies out there? I wsih there was a large race company such as Comptech that made turbo kits. The CTSC is a wonder kit but it won't get me to my power goals and it is too heat-sensitive to be good on the track.

I do want a BB turbo for fast spool so a Garret GT series is probably the way to go. What is the smallest GT30 that would get me to 350whp+ on 91 octane?

This is not a drag car so I don't care about the headroom to make 450whp, or what each turbo can do on race gas, I just need the least amout of lag and the fastest boost response possible.

Will I be able to make 350whp+ on 91 octane with the stock internal and stock C/R or do I have to pull the head and go inside?

Thanks for all the help

350 is borderline on stock compression ratio and 91 octane. It can be done, but I would recommend either putting in an InlinePRO 3 mm headgasket or, in lue of that, adding water/methanol injection.

What do you guys know about the Greddy Piggy back, specially the setup with Ultimate Racing has with the piggy back???

Can I run the Same EM (Greddy Piggy) with the Inline Pro KIt. I am not really looking for anything more the the 300s WHP.

What are the pitfalls or con of having a Piggy Back vs. Standalone????

Pretty much the census is don't use the piggy back and use the AEM EMS.

I'm at 397 whp on stock compression and 9.75 psi of boost on 92-93 octane. He should be able to fairly easily make 350.
