Amazing! Dieger, you can own A ferrari someday for sure. Owning a racing ferrari that isnt for sale would be so much more of a trick, but there are plenty of ferraris for you!

I've watched this before...however...it did not stop me from watching it again! Truly amazing what people can do with sheer determination. A very patient man...indeed...

Wow! I can't comprehend the patience it takes to spend 15 years and 20,000 hours on a project like that. That's 1300 hours per year or about 25 hours per week; every week for 15 years.

20,000 hours = full time job for 10 years

I bet that movie star from Mouse Hunt would love that car.

You're right. A clean 1986 328 GTS is certainly within reach $35- $40k fairly clean. It would be the constant tinkering and a budget of about $5-$6k a year for those sudden things that could break on a 21 year old car. Although a 355 would be nice also which would approach the $70-$80k mark, but improvement on reliability. Selling the S would put me closer to the goal, but I would like to do it comfortably and keep the S. Plus I am running a little short of garage space right now with 3 cars.

man that guy has some patience!

yeah too bad a 328 would get left by most of the cars on this board. 355 is a different story. very easy car to drive, only complaint is long road trips, not much room as expected, just like any ferrari. and you can get a good one for around 80k nowadays. not bad for one of the best sounding ferraris ever made.
