I'm not too familiar with the SF area, but at least you'll kill two birds with one stone - Sophie's Crepes is inside Japantown!

yup, very yummy food there.

i went to grammar & jr high w/one of the daughters who own/run the Thanh Long+Crustacean restaurants. she and her friends used to chase my friend and me to school almost every morning from the 4th-5th grade. had i known back then they were connected to those spots, i would've stopped running. lol

anyways, to the tourist guy hitting SF, definitely hit........

---Fisherman's Wharf for sightseeing & snacking
---Downtown Union Square for shopping
---Chinatown & North Beach for sightseeing and eats
---GG Bridge & Sausalito on the other side if you have time for sightseeing
---Palace of Fine Arts for sightseeing & photo ops
---Lombard Street & Coit Tower for same as above

if you like Korean BBQ, hit Brothers on Geary St & 6th Avenue in the Richmond District. It's one of the best in SF.

Japantown is okay....food's not really good there & a lot of the shops are vacant or just tourist traps, but I guess it's worth going by if you have time

Have fun, and don't forget to bring warm clothes & an umbrella! It's freezing & rainy here.
