Default Arkansas Boston Mountains Tour '07

Jerome ("jmoore2k") and I are planning an all-day S2000 tour through the Boston Mountains over in Arkansas. Weather permitting, this will happen on Saturday, March 17th... or, if the weather doesn't cooperate on the 17th, then we'll try again the following weekend... so, if possible, keep those dates open!

The tentative plan so far is to leave Tulsa by 7:30 a.m. and meet up with the other S2K folks in Rogers by 9:30 a.m. Each driver (and co-driver) will be given a numbered ticket at the beginning of the tour. Jerome has put together a morning and afternoon route which includes a stop for lunch in between. The route has been selected to travel over some of the best S roads in Arkansas! From Rogers, we'll head eastward making a big loop through the Boston Mountains and end up in Fayetteville, AR. At the end of the day, we'll stop at a restaurant in Fayetteville and draw tickets to give away ten very nice gifts (8 with the Honda logo).

We'd like to get an idea of how many of you plan on attending so we can make reservations for lunch. So, please post your thoughts/interest here!

Julie, Don't forget to tell folks that we will be stopping at a restaurant in Fayetteville AR at the end of the tour. Each driver (and their rider) will be issued (free) a numbered ticket at the beginning of the tour. There will be a drawing of tickets to give away 10 very nice gifts (8 with Honda Logo) in the restaurant in Fayetteville. I have invited the S2KCA "Dallas/Fort Worth Roadsters" Chapter to join us on this Run through the Boston Mountains, and they are showing interest.

Welcome back, Martini!

Why not on Sunday? It's still early enough... we can change it to that Saturday... which is St. Patrick's day... if that's what the majority wants.

Edited... event date changed to Saturday, March 17th!

Hey Julie and Jerome! Sounds like a great drive and I'm trying to get some interest going with the DFW Roadster crew and then I'll start working on the Houston and Austin chapters.

Julie - you might also want to post something in the North Texas forum since I'm sure there might be some interest there as well.

Hi there, I purchased my GPW AP1 in April of 06 and have been wondering if there was a club in Fayetteville, AR ? I got hooked on this car a couple of years ago as a rider at the annual Wake the Dragon event in April over at Deals Gap. Pretty much a done deal after that. I noticed you were organizing an event in March, mind if I tag along? I think I'm in town the weekend of 17th so let me know.

Thanks Julie! Let me know the details and I will catch up with the group. Do you know if there is an Arkansas group? Thanks for letting me tag along in March, should be a fun ride.

You betcha! Our meeting/starting point will be at the McDonald's at the interestion of I-540 and 71B. I'm pretty certain a few will represent the Arkansas S2K community, but it's too early to even guess how many.
