This event is based out of the Windjammer (Best Western Inn) located at 1076 Williston Rd, S Burlington, VT 05403
If you have two way radios please bring them! We have 2 sets so will have 3 to share.
The hotel is available Friday and Saturday nights (and I'm sure they would not mind if you came early or stayed later). Sept 14 - Sept 16 (Friday - Sunday)
The toll free reservation # is: 800-371-1125 and you need to mention the group name: S2000 Owners. The rate is $115.95 per night and includes breakfast.
They have guaranteed us a place to wash cars and they have a complex that includes a restaurant and lounge/bar (with Speed channel -- Belgium GP is the Sunday the 16th)
A block of 30 rooms was set aside until August 14. You can still call for a reservation now but they may have rented the rooms. If you need ideas for an alternative place to stay nearby shoot me a message.
We will have two days of area tours with a longer drive on Saturday then a group dinner that night (see link above) and a shorter tour option on Sunday.
Tours will start and end from the hotel. Please be ready to go by 10 am. Saturday we'll have 3 drive groups which will leave in staggered times (to allow the lunch stop restaurant time to catchup and we are not all arriving at once). First group (fast and furious) will leave right at 10, Second group (moderately racey) will leave at 10:15, and Third group (hopefully a tad faster than leaf peepers) will leave no later than 10:30.
We'll be stopping for lunch at the A&W Root Beer Stand where you can drive in, they take your order and you can eat in your car - if you want to - or at a picnic table. If you have room for a folding chair bring it - we'll plan to bring as many as we can to share. There are no indoor seating arrangements here so if we have less than perfect weather Plan B will mean going to McDonalds (just up the road) where we can sit inside.
Tours on Saturday will finish up and be back to the hotel between 3 and 4 PM. Banquet room opens at 6 PM with dinner starting at 6:30/7 PM. There will be a cash bar during dinner and there is a lounge/bar in the hotel
Sunday's tour will leave at 10 in probably only two groups depending on how many people stick around... the plus side of this tour is that you can do half of it with the group, then get on I-89 an hour south of the hotel and go home from there. We'll make a big loop going through Smuggler's Notch and if you want to head home when we get to the junction with the interstate you can, or you can complete the tour and wind up back at the hotel at about 2 PM. We'll be stopping for a sandwich at a small grocery/deli then about an hour later there is a creemee stand in Montpelier for those interested.
There are many things to do and see in the Burlington area including tours of the Teddy Bear factory and Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream. Visiting the Shelburne Museuem is a full day of sights and there are many stores and malls where you can shop. We will have one loaner car available, courtesy of Ellen's "vintage" Honda collection. And if you prefer something built after 1990, make nice with David's wife Dawn as they are also bringing a second car
You can check the hotel out here:

If I have received your payment for Saturday dinner it is noted after your name below. (Deadline to signup has now past.)
Thanks!
Ellen

Yeah! Glad to hear that Lainey! I love PA roads - that was one heck of a tour we took down there last year, holy smokes! So who's going to put a PA tour together for 2008?!
Do Jo - check back here for more info. I'm putting all that I have on a web site today and will post that link in the next day or two.
I'm trying to co-ordinate with Sports Car Club of VT on a competition event for Sunday but so far they have all blown me off on replying to any messages.

I know Rob is doing the NJ Gathering in August. No talk of a Fall/October gathering yet by the Vintage folks.
I'd hope for something close to home. Newport RI would be great, as would Cape Cod, but both areas are rather busy/congested and don't have great roads for driving.
What a great time we had last year, can't wait to do it again this year!! Hopefully the weather will cooperate a little better for us this time around. Count Nancy and I in with Mr. Bean!!
Hi Dave! We really enjoyed meeting you and Nancy last year (and Nancy's parents), glad you can make it for this year's event... I though you sold your S? (I'm out of touch lately, sorry)

VT roads!
I've only done ONE event.
