Default My New Wheels

G'day all...

Hav'nt had a chance to post pics of my s as yet .. but here goes

Got me a set of wheels ... what do you guys think?

Offset is a bit aggressive - F 18x9 +44 and R 18x10 +41 !!!

You think by lowering it more the wheels will lean in more?

You guys think this setup will get unwanted attention from the boys in blue??

Any comments will be appreciated ... good or bad.

Cheers.

They're SSR Professor Sp1.

F 18x9 +44 and R 18x10 +41
running 225/40/18 and 255/35/18

I just love these wheels ... dish !!!
but they're sticking out abit.

I'll need to lower it more to get them to lean in,

What do you guys think ?

looks hectic!!! but i don't think you would be able to lower it with out camber kit and rollin the guards...

2 x for the wheels though.. very nice!

If you lower it you're just moving it through it's suspension travel. So if it's gunna rub it'll rub more when lowered.

The way those tyres are stretched on the rims is just plain dangerous. You have no sidewall strength or lateral movement. Have an accident and your insurance company will laugh at you.

I was going to suggest trying 235's on the rear and 215's on the front, stretch them more, and then lower the car...jap-style.

But yeah, my friend above is right. There can and most probably will be problems with insurance. That said, the same assessor that will decline an insurance claim for over stretched tyres will most probably decline an insurance claim with the way the wheels are at the moment.

Your other option is to have the guards flared (not rolled) when you lower the car. Big $$$'s there.

The wheels do look nice. But yeah, they stick out atm.

You got a good point about insurance Aus.

That's cool cos I can return the wheels to my supplier so that's cool.

Kinda got caught in the moment when choosing these wheels. Love the dish ...

Thanks everyone.
