Default FS: AP1 diff with 4.44 Gears *Reduced Price* - SPF

I am going back to stock, so I am putting my current rear differential up for sale. The gears are loud, so I can really only recommend the diff. for a track car or someone who is not bothered by noise. I am honestly not sure if something is wrong, or if this is how they all sound. Test drives to hear the gears are available in the Charlotte area for interested locals. I have no idea what this would be worth, but I think I started it out too high. Now asking $350 plus shipping. PM for questions.

Sold Pending Funds.

Hello,

This is non-reinforced stock differential and it will bolt right into an AP1. I bought the rear from another member about a year and a half ago. If I remember correctly, adding the miles I have put on the rear (about 8k), there should be about 30-35k miles on the gears themselves and about 70k miles on the rear. They have always been loud, so it is not like they are getting louder or anything like. I am just trying to quiet the car down for my mostly highway commute. I am switching back to a stock exhaust as well and will be applying sound deadener in the spring.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Do you have proof of the gears (receipt or similar)?
I am driving up to VA from GA friday and would like to stop by and pick up the diff.
Please let me know any details you have on this setup; feel free to pm me with an email or if you would like mine.
I can bring cash.

what is the sound, is it just gear whine or loud grinding noises?

The diff is now out of the car. To answer some of the questions, the noise is mostly a whine, not really a grind. Also, I do not have proof of the gears unfortunately, but you could probably turn the end shaft and count the turns on the side shaft as proof. In addition, if you are brave you could always remove the cover and count the teeth, but the diff would be yours at that point unless I was wrong.

I'm not sure why there is concern as to whether or not the gears are actually in there. I mean you were driving the car right? Should be preeeeeeeeeetty easy to tell if there was a different final drive in there.......
