Well we heard from numerous people, both friends and other shops around the USA that 9psi was all the Comptech Supercharger can handle effeciently as well as the BONE STOCK 11:1 compression AP1 engine.
After numerous hours in front of the computer and reading all his rocket science info about effective compression ratios, blah, bla, blah, and how it relates to tuning, Rick has begged me to test some of his theorys on a willing customer's car. Well I gotta tell you guys who doubted us, with proper adjustments, products and an excellent tuner at hand we passed a huge milestone this week!
I had the honor to feel almost 12 psi on this car as we went out street tuning Tuesday evening. Rick looked over at me and said Holy S**t, did you feel that pull after VTEC. I pulled over and we both stared at the laptop with amazement. I have to say I was quite impressed with the performance of this car and Rick's ability to fine tune the map so the customer can experience the full potential of his new found horsepower.
Wendesday, after upgrading a returning customer's Comptech Supercharged AP1, Rick tuned this stock engine to make 360 whp & 216 tq. at 11.5 psi on the dyno. He made a total of 4 pulls on the dyno and was dialed in......that is talent.
Do the belts stretch real easy? On my friends Crx he was running 12lbs and his belt wouldnt last long and was a bitch to replace. I've always been in to turbo's because of the potential to make alot of power but i'm thinking of a supercharger on the S.
