Default S2000 Ventillation

Am I correct in finding that it is not possible to have warm heated air to your feet AND cool fresh air to your head at the same time?

[And no wisecracks about lowering the roof or opening the window - you know what I mean!]

Yes, you are correct, although it's the wrong forum (the main one for S2000 related stuff) and I've no idea why you'd want to.

I've only ever found this 'feature' on a BMW I owned ......I hated having to set effectively two heater controls. Never seen it on other cars.

I will resist the temptation but you are leaving yourself well open to a few 'comments' .....

Easy.

Heater towards the floor, roof down.

Rings a bell, John. I had a company beemer 320i about 1986-87 and you could get fresh air at face level while the heater provided hot air to feet.

Ponged a bit but you didn't get wet when it rained, facetious feathered friend

Off topic: BTW thanks Ian for hanging on to the wheels so long. Had you used them much? Fronts are Eagle F1s rears (almost slicks now!!) Pirelli.

Well, of the cars I've driven in the last 12 months, Those that HAD the good sense to know that hot air to your face sends you to sleep so they DO have a direct fresh air inlet include:-

Mercedes V220
Honda CRX Vti [Although opening the back window is THE prefered option here]
Honda Integra Type R
Honda Concerto
Mercedes 190e
Peugot 106
Mazda RX7 Cabriolet

And they are the ones I can remember.
As for taking the roof off? You do that all the time when it's lashing down huh?

I'm wondering if any of you boys drive for more than 5 minutes at a time if you can't understand why you may want to emulate the environment that Climate Control tries to give you?

Sorry for posting in the wrong spot[s] I missed the scroll bar!

I did over 43k in my S2000 the first year I had it, similar amounts year 2 and 3 too, and I have never had an issue with the heating.

I generally find I get more than enough heat for my lower half off the transmission tunnel after I've been driving for a while
