Default just got the car - wind noise?

Hi everyone,

I just registered on this forum, just purchased my 01 GPW S2000. As I was driving it back home, on the highway I am going about 85-90 mph. I noticed a excesive cabin/wind noise coming in. I am just wondering if that is expected for a soft top car and of its age etc?

Thanks

After market exhaust systems easily cure this problem.

Why were you driving above the speed limit??

Like everyone else said, this car isn't quiet. I commute with earplugs. Really.

the earplug thing is what i do as well, not for quick trips, but for anything that is longer than about a 45 min drive i always keep a few sets of ear plugs in the car.

But yeah, car's not too quiet. you can put sound deadener on all the floor boards and doors to clear up some of the road noise... but, you're askin about wind... and that's just cuz of the soft top
