Default What's Leather/Vinyl

Like tittle says, I know its going to sound stupid but i just realized that some parts of our interior are not leather like they seem they are

So i did a quick search on parts that are leather and vinyl but still got confuse since i got mixed answers and the threads i was reading where 4-5 years old..

I was reading mickeys detailing handbook, Station's post from 2002 Saying that is father had been dealing with leather for 40 years, and 2002s2k's Thread about Leather care

on the 3 threads i read they all say different things some mention that the e-break is leather the other one says its not..Some say all the seat is leather some say only the middle part & the outside is vinyl....

So can you guys help me on what is leather/Vinyl so i can use the right products...

I don't want to use vinyl cleaner on leather parts

Ps: I have an 07 things might have change don't know that..in this is my first car with Leather/Vinyl in the interior

Steering wheel is all I can think of.

Part of the reason why you have found different information is because the older cars had less leather pieces than the newer cars.

better to use the specific product for the job...
there are two leathers cause ones a cleaner and ones a preservative.
(and yes, only one for vinyl)
you need both if you have never done either.

i do both- clean then preserve - when i do leather

Ok here we go...

The inside bolsters of the seats as well as the centers are leather.

The steering wheel is leather

The door side panels are leather.

Shift boot is vinyl

E-brake is rubber

Elbow rests are vinyl
