I've been asked for the old mp3s I made after my HKS install, but they're long gone. So today whne I went to lunch I grabbed a buddy and my laptop and made some new ones. The mic sucked- one of those little white magic wand looking things that come with a cheap computer so the sound is less than perfect and there's some wind noise, but not too terrible.
The car has HKS Hiper Exhaust and a custom CAI, I think you can tell from these files, the 2 mesh to sound GREAT together. The files really don't do the sound justice but they give you an idea.
These were all in the car, top down and the mic stuck between the passenger seat and the console sticking up about 2 inches- next to the e-brake handle.

Just driving around, for those who wonder if an HKS is too loud to live with, really it's not, you can hear us talk a couple of times and hear my keys jingling- unless you get on it, then it gets pretty loud.

Nice sounds. What's that chirping sound in the third gear pull sound file? Sounds like a bird was sitting with you in your car! I'd really like to hear the exhaust from an outsider's perspective. See if you can get a buddy to tape the sound with him standing in the back of your car as you drive away into VTEC land. That would be a good comparison.

an outside recording is in the works, I think a buddy's Jeep is going to "break down" under the overpass until I can blast by a couple of times, then miraculously get fixed...

Damn I like the VTEC in the underpass! Too bad the windnoise ruined it! nice nonetheless...
