Talking Nearly made the 500rwhp club!

I had my new turbo kit tuned and dyno'd yesterday. Here is a list of the current mods:

Garrett GT3567R ball bearing turbo
Full-Race T3 turbo manifold (treated by HPC)
Full-Race down-pipe / dump-tube
Tial 44mm wastegate (spring rate TBD )
inlinePRO BOV
inlinePRO FMIC
Speed Force Racing charge pipes (3" cold side / 2.5" hot side)
T1R 70R Sparrow (70mm main pipe, 63mm secondaries)
Hondata IMG
Prototype EMS
RC 1000cc injectors

The engine itself is bone stock. Here are my dyno graphs:

This was on 91 octane. The tuning stopped @ 7500 rpms because of issues controlling boost (keeping it under 13 psi). I am going to take apart the wastegate to determine what the actual spring rate is. According to the shipping box it is supposed to have a .5 BAR (7.25 psi) spring in it. If this is the case, and if the turbo is operating off the wastegate, there is no way it should be making anywhere near 13 psi. If boost could have been held under 13 psi, and if it would have been taken to 8500 rpms, it would have made well over 500rwhp!

Anyway, hope you like!

Too bad we couldn't have hooked-up today. Oh well. I can't wait to see what you put down! Make sure you tell Mike to shoot for 13 psi or so. You have the 3mm headgasket and won't have any problems.

Yeah I've come to notice that running off the wastegate spring at 7psi doesn't work

So, what solution did you come up with?

Thanks bro!

I have a number of parts awaiting install:

1. AEM fuel rail (possibly to be replaced by BDL Industries fuel rail)
2. AEM FPR (possibly to be replaced by Aeromotive FPR)
3. inlinePRO 3mm headgasket
4. AEM 3.5 BAR map sensor

My intention is to have the 3mm headgasket installed when I have the cylinder head built (probably by Laskey Racing). I'll have the fuel system-related items installed when I do the returnless to return fuel system conversion. The AEM 3.5 BAR map sensor will be installed when I have a custom intake manifold made.

There is so much more work left to be done, with one of the more expensive items being the R200 diff conversion. I've spent soooo much money on the S so far, and unfortunately I am tapped out for a little bit. I have to pay-off some bills before I can proceed.

Also, until my boost control issue is resolved my rev limiter is currently set to 7000 rpms. With the current power levels, and the 4.57-R FD, the shifts come way too quickly! Oh well...better safe than sorry!

472rwhp@13psi? Damn. Could you possibly make less power @ 13psi when the car is fully tuned? What you make @ 13psi on your last setup?

Hmmm, it seems to me you are knocking my #s. Is that the case? If you are not knocking my #s it is all good. Sorry...hard to tell on the Internet.

With my last setup (inlinePRO turbo kit with GT3071R), I made 352rwhp @ 9.75 psi. With this new setup (Full-Race turbo kit and GT3567R), I made 472rwhp at 7400 rpms and 12.93 psi. At the same boost level, and taking it to 8500 rpms, my S should be making ~525rwhp.
