Cool Full Race Turbo Kit Installed & Dyno *PICS/VIDEO*

*******************************************
UPDATE: 05/13/07 - dynoed 431whp, go to page 2 for dyno and video
*******************************************

It's finally in!! Started the install in February and completed by beginning of April in time to display it at the Moroso NHRA event. We only really had time to work on it on weekends so this took longer than we expected. Dyno tuning was done by Jared @ JDM Motorsports. I dont remember seeing a lot of posts with dyno comparisons to stock but here is one compared with my stock pull of 190hp. We had constant connectivity issues with the AEM EMS. It might be something faulty with my unit on the serial output. It would lose connection unexpectedly and it probably did that 10-15 times during the dyno tuning. Also we ran into a problem with scaling the fuel map that stop us from boosting more. Ill have to send the EMS out for warranty to get it repaired. This is still a conservative tune! We're going to be upping the boost and retune it in a week or so and push it a little further.

The car hauls major ass! Boost comes in very early around 2500rpm and full boost is around 3500-4000rpm. I love how the VTEC was lowered to 5200-5400rpm. It created a smooth powerband and I dont have to wait so long to get a kick. And once VTEC kicks, it plants your body into the seat so hard its unbelievable! Now I really have to pay attention to cars far down the road cause the car accelerates so fast, that you'll be on their bumper in a few seconds. Incredible!

As mentioned in previous posts, its a stock motor with ARP studs, 2mm Cometic gasket, Full Race turbo kit GT30R 0.63 w/ HPC coating on manifold, turbine & downpipe. All oil and air lines are s/s braided with fire sleeve protecting them. Check out my oil cooler on the driver side front bumper! It doesnt block the radiator (like it needs more stuff in front of it) and it fills out the square clean. Most people dont even know its there.

Overall, very happy with the setup and results. Special thanks to Advanced Clutch Technology for their ACT Street Clutch and Pro Lite Flywheel. JDM Motorsports for helping out with installation, customizing brackets and pipes and dyno tuning. Cometic Gasket for the 2mm head gasket. RC Engineering for their 750cc injectors. Dynamic Autosports for the AEM EMS. Full Race for the nice kit.

Very nice build! At 14 psi I would expect you to make a little bit more power, but then again you said it was a very conservative tune. Since you have a 2mm headgasket, you should be able to have a more aggressive tune done. Also, your VTEC engagement point of 5200-5400 is too high with the Full-Race kit. Full-Race recommends that the engagement point be set around 3500, and will very depending on the specific setup. My VTEC engagement is set around 4K.
