I spent a lot of time trying to find a reasonable insurance rate for my car in CA. I used to have Mercury, but I have saved some money by moving to Wawanesa. I was skeptical at first, but after everyone in my office (including the partners with $100k + cars) raved about them, I figured it was legit. I have been with them over a year and have been totally satisfied.

Does anyone else here have Wawanesa? If not, I highly recommend them:

If you have a better rate, can you please post what insurance company offers it? I am satisfied with Wawanesa, but I wouldn't hesitate to go with another legit company at a better price.

I would love to hear other people's experiences/results with insurance shopping.

Thanks and good luck.

I would love to hear more about CA. insurance options also, I have progressive and they charge me as much a month as my S2000 payment! I really need to find someone who charges less with good coverage.

This thread seems to be someone pushing their product, I have reported it to the moderators, this is a non-commercial forum, advertising isn't permitted here, no matter how carefully disguised as innocent chat.

Don't get me wrong I too am interested in getting great insurance rates from reputable companies, I just think this is very suspicious, this guy has only 14 posts and he is already giving direct links to a company web site.

Just trying to be a good member and look after the board.

die2drive - I was with Allstate for 2 years before I moved to CA, I have now moved to Gieco as they saved me $500 a year with better coverage, don't know if it will help you or not.

I'm just doing my bit too, this one is the moderators call, wouldn't want to deprive people of info and opportunities, be also wouldn't want to see this wonderful FREE board abused by commercial interests.

Notion:

I also hate to see commercial interests on these forums. I want to assure you that I have no interests with Wawanesa. I just thought that most people haven't heard of that company and so I put the url there to make it easy for people to get a quote.

I definitely want this to be a Free board. I'm new to these forums because I'm trying to buy a new S2000...

I hope people get as many quotes as they can when they shop for insurance. It would be great if we can all hear about each other's results.

Once again, I don't mean to promote Wawanesa, I just want to let people know of an option that wasn't known to me several years ago, but I wish that I did!

Good luck all.

I too have Wawanesa and I'm very happy.
They seem to have the best rates and their customer
service is excellent. I've been with them for about 10 years.

I have referred many people to them and everybody is happy.

Then maybe I will actually get a quote as I was about to renew my insurance literally this afternoon.

those of you with mercury and 20th century, can you post contact info? i'm currently with geico and pay just below $1,000 every six months for two cars (full coverage, $500 deductible, 100/200, theft deterrent discount). considering no tickets ever, no accidents since '96, and 9 years driving experience, i'm thinking i could do better. i tried the 20th century website a few months ago and was quoted an outrageous $1,500 for six months.

geico's the cheapest i found that's still a reputable company. will see what the website maveric suggested comes back with.

KT:

That seems like a reasonable rate. However, it can't hurt to see what other companies will offer.

Here's Mercury:

and Here's 20th Century:

Good Luck.
