Default Comptech may not be gone after all...

I saw this post over on the acura forums and thought I'd share over here:

"
Actually, Comptech is NOT shutting its doors, it is merely changing hands. The people who bought Comptech actually worked there before. They will re-open under the same name, and begin producing and selling parts again within the next month or two. The same people will be producing the parts, and it will be of the same quality Competch is known for. I asked about the supercharger for the 2g TL and the person I spoke with could not disclose very much information regarding products for the new owners of the company. All she could tell me was it was very possible. SO. Everyone can stop freaking out now, its not the end of the world - or Comptech.
"

Hopefully this information is credible.

Now we just have to figure out where that person got that information. Hopefully not another forum.

Comptech is splitting up. Engine side and aftermarket side. Aftermarket side may be closing if no investors buy it.

Funny thing is there is like only 4 people working there... Or at least that past few times I've been there. And 2 of them are secretaries.

They're done.

In a week they're auctioning off what's left of their business.

Let it go. Chumptech hasn't done anything worthwhile in over ten years anyway.

Dude... I was there last week and talked to them. Like I said the aftermarket side will close if no one picks them up. There are a few investors talking right now... No specifics and none of my business. As far as the engine side they will be moving.

Yes they have an engine building side (I.E COMPTECH Machine [the original COMPTECH]) and the aftermarket side (bolt on parts). They still had misc. parts but I couldn't get most of it so there may be some merit in the aftermarket side getting bought out because I was offered the parts a week earlier but didn't have time to go over there. We'll see if comptech comes back
