Track Day at MSR
Greetings:
At the request of the "Board"
, I am negotiating with The Drivers Edge (DE) for a discounted S2000 Day at MotorSports Ranch in conjunction with their event on 15-16 Sep.
Last year DE gave us a 10% discount for the first 10 members to register. The club extended another discount to the first 25 members.
This year I am trying to negotiate a 10% discount for ALL NTS2KOC members to register. To get this, the club would have to match the discount and guarantee a minimum turnout (>20). Thus, cost would be 80% of listed price ($295 for Green & Blue, and $275 for Red and Yellow), so $220-$236.
Who is interested? I will need some commitments to conclude the negotiation.
Regards,
Al

I think that's how DE does it (it was the 8-10 times I've done it before). 2 x 25 minute sessions in the morning, 2 x 25 minute sessions in the afternoon, by 2 days = 8 x 25 minutes sessions. Broken into several groups; Green = rookies and/or slowpokes with lots of instruction (great learning experience and starts getting fun), Blue = Done it before and will get instruction until you get "solo'ed" (driving is self-paced but getting"exciting"), Yellow = Done it before and will be sent out alone as soon as you pass a check session (driving gets very competitive), Red = prepared cars and skilled drivers (Very competitive and better than me. Looks challenging from the sidelines.), and then there is the Instructors Group (be nice to your instructor and see if he will let you tag along. Fun and informative.)

I may be interested. I'm not in the NT club though.
