Default MY06 CEL After Berk Header and Test Pipe Installed

Installed my Berk Stainless header and (CEL Fix) Test pipe yesterday, and all was fine. I have driven about 60 miles since with no problems, but today when leaving a friends house, the CEL was on. I have searched and searched on MY06+ throwing CEL lights after test pipe installs, but nothing really definitive on fixes. Mic crispy mentioned a thread about this in this thread : https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...=340163&st=175
but I can't seem to find the thread he speaks of.

Who has had this problem, and how have you resolved it ?

Thanks in advance

EDIT: update 6/25/07, installed an anti fouler, and pretty much the same thing happens, in about a day the CEL comes back on. Back to the drawing board.

Im running the berk header too. but took out the test pipes because of the smell. You should try to and one more defauler to the test pipe. That did it for me. You should try to reset the computer. Take the - off the batterie and tap it so it makes a spark two to three times that should reset your computer. Thats what I did when my megan test pipe cracked and a cell came up.

Have the code pulled to be sure the TP is causing it. I know it would have to be a heck of a coincidence for it not to be, but it wouldn't hurt to have it checked since they will do it for free.

I had the exacy issue on my 2006 with the berk. But, I went out and bought 2 of the anti fouler plugs, screwed them together & then put them on the bung. Resest the battery and no codes for 2500 miles now.

You don't need to tap the negative against anything. Just take it off and let it hang there for like 10 seconds or so, then put it back. That is enough to reset the ECU.

Thanks, and yes, I know it is a long shot for it to be something else, but I'm going to pull the code anyway.

Updated original post. Guess I'll try adding the second anti fouler like Zachsdad did. Damn these sensitive newer AP2's...
