Default Front license plate

So what, exactly, is the penalty for no front plate? And is it a "pull-over-able" offense (ie, can a cop pull you over if you are doing nothing else wrong?) Is it enforced often? I rarely street park, and never street park downtown, so that isn't an issue; 95% of the time my car is in my apt parking lot or my office parking lot.

Is it worth the risk?

Same here. Only got a ticket at a check point and never when I got pulled over. It was either $75 or $50. The way I figure it, if I pay that every couple of years or less, that's a reasonable price.

Sweet. I'll be buying another cap for the bolt holes on the front of my car tomorrow (car inexplicably only came with one cap).

They took your license for no front plate? In the words of Ron Burgandy, "That, uh, doesn't make sense."

There must be more to that story.

Living in the city sucks...

I lost the front plate bracket, and even with the plate in the front windshield, I still get about 1 tickets per week for no front plate

I got a lecture about it once, but have never been stopped or cited for no front plate.

According to the Secretary of State website, it's a $75 fine.
