Default Installed Invidia Test Pipe

I installed the Invidia test pipe on my 07 tonight. I also installed the mechanical CEL fix from iptuning as well.
Mechanical Fix

At idiol the car almost sounds completely stock. It is just slightly throatier.

Cruising you can't tell that it's installed.

When your accellerating through the gears it has a nice throaty sound that is slightly louder than stock.

A WOT it is slightly louder than stock as well with a nice throaty sound.

The butt dyno says that it gained a little power. Feels like it's flowing better, especially when downshifting the response is better.

There is a little smell of exhaust when backing up, but nothing I can't live with.
Worth the trade off to me.

I haven't had time to do anything like that yet. Just finished the install at 9:30. This is just first impressions of the test pipe.

Install wasn't hard at all either. It I would have had a lift it probably would only have taken 30 minutes.

sounds like my first impressions when i put mine on!
I have an AP1 tho but I think its the best $70 I have/will ever put toward my car. The smell was a little weird at first but im beginning to like it (is that weird?). My buddy was following me in his truck and i asked him if he smelled anything and he said no..

my install was NOT easy........I guess 07 models dont have siezed bolts

Some kid came into work with an AP1 with a TP installed, and curious about the smell i took a wiff, definitely smells the same as my exhaust. I know its supposed to smell, but our motors are also very efficient and that LEV rating cant be just because of a cat.

Anyway im thinking about a TP if i anyone knows one that can fit the stock heat shield. Or at least one that resembles a cat.

Dont mean to thread jack lol

If you know what the Cat does then you will know that it very much, has to do with LEV ratings. Reason that smell is so strong after removing it is because that cat isn't there to burn off excess unburned gases.
