Default Track-ready AP1 for sale - -- Santa Monica

I have a track-ready S2000 for sale. I am the original owner of this MY 2000 Berlina Black with just over 100k miles.

Pictures (note: these pictures are not all completely recent; so some of the pictures might show the car with interior behind the seats or with a single exhaust I used to have, etc.):
Pictures of the car

Paint/body: This car has kinda never been in an accident, but I'll clarify what I mean... There have been several incidents where people have done shit to the car while it was stopped and as a result, the majority of the car has been repainted at one time or another and the front left fender and front bumper are not the original pieces. None of these incidents ever damaged anything beyond the outside body paneling.

Mechanicals: The engine is original, has never been overrevved or rebuilt and runs strong. I did a compression test on it recently and the numbers were all even (can't remember what they were, but if you're interested in the car, we can do a compression test again to verify). The rear end and transmission were rebuilt at about 70k miles.

Ok, on to the fun stuff - modifications:

Suspension:
- JRZ 3-way adjustable race dampers with remote reservoirs. Quick disconnect fittings on all 4 reservoirs. 750lb front springs, 700 lb rear. A complete set like this retails for over $6,000, as of the last price sheet I saw from JRZ.
- SPC front camber kit (currently running -2.7 front, -2.2 rear camber, if I remember correctly).

Safety:
- Elda Solo-1 legal rollbar
- Sparco Evo seat
- Sabelt 6-pt harness

Engine/transmission/differential:
- AEM V1 intake
- Iridium plugs
- Toda 8lb cromoly flywheel
- ACT HD pressure plate
- Kaaz 1.5-way limited slip differential
- Odyssey PC680-MJ lightweight battery

Brakes:
- Front bumper "faux brake ducts" have been converted to fully-functional brake ducts
- Street pads are Porterfield R4S compound (see spares section for info on race pads)
- DOT legal Earl's stainless lines

Body:
- All badges have been removed and the holes behind the "H" badges have been properly filled/smoothed/painted.
- All interior trim behind the seats has been removed, but I do have the full interior set (and it's already trimmed to fit with the Elda rollbar) if you want to re-install it.
- Clear corner lenses up front
- Clear sidemarkers
- Street wheels are stock AP1 wheels that have been powdercoated semi-gloss black (see spares section for info on race wheels)

Electronics:
- Kenwood Z919 cd/mp3 head unit
- MB Quart 6.5" coaxial 2-way speakers with crossovers

Spares:
- 2 sets of AP1 wheels (in addition to the 3rd set that I use as street wheels). Of the two spare sets, all 4 rear wheels have been modified to fit at either the front or rear of the car and powdercoated semi-gloss black. I presently use the 4 rear wheels from these two sets as the race set and they have nearly new 245-50-16 Nitto NT-01 r-compound tires on them. Of the remaining 4 front wheels, two are stock finish with no tires and two are semi-gloss black with a worn out pair of Toyo RA-1s.
- Cobalt race pads (only good for another day or two tops)
- Interior for behind the seats
- Helmes shop manual
- Stock driver's seat (with a never-used factory replacement leather upholstery piece for the backrest half of the seat)

So that's the deal - it's a turn-key track car.

PRICE:
$19,750 with the current JRZ suspension
$17,750 with a Tein SRC suspension
$15,900 buyer supplies suspension

Serious inquiries only please. Car is located in Los Angeles area.

Update on this... I may be selling the JRZs. If I do so, the car will come with a brand new set of Tein SRCs and the price for the car in that configuration will be $17,900. If anyone is considering the car and will want it with the JRZ suspension, please contact me ASAP before I make the change.

One other thing... I don't know if I was clear about this in the original posting, but this is a street-legal car. It has plates. It can be driven to/from the track, on weekends, or - if you really want - it's daily drivable (although a bit much as a daily driver).

is this still for sale?

I assume this car has been cornerweighted and balanced by darin at west end?

I live in brentwood, about 3 miles from santa monica...and when you say buyer supplies suspension, do you mean the stock suspension doesn't even go back on, I I will literally need to bring suspension and install it?

The car is still for sale (in fact, I just started a new/updated thread on it).

I personally corner balanced the car (to a 1 lb tolerance) and aligned it a few months ago. Since then, I went back to the stock exhaust, so it will now be slightly off.

Someone has decided to buy the JRZ suspension currently on it and will be supplying me with a brand new Tein SRC suspension to sell the car with. We will be re-balancing and aligning the car after swapping the suspension. I expect to do that in the next 2-3 weeks.

When I give a price for buyer supplies suspension, you are correct that I meant no suspension at all, you will need to bring one to pick the car up. I THINK I have the stock suspension and some lowering springs in storage somewhere, so I can probably offer it with that, but I haven't gone digging for it to verify, so that's why I just made the last price with no suspension at all. I probably should have put that on the spares list, actually.

I am not ready to buy either, I will need to sell my car first, so hopefully I will be able to get that done in the next few weeks since you still have to get the new suspension in and cornerweighted/balanced

If you think you're serious about the car, let me know whether you would prefer it with the JRZ suspension or if I should be going through with the Tein SRC swap. I should note that while the Tein SRCs are a very high end suspension (about $2700 new), the JRZ setup currently on the car is a professional-level competition setup and worth MUCH more (this setup would be over $6,000 new). I'd say laptimes will be fairly close enough between the two, but the JRZs should be quite a bit more comfortable on the street (I know this is a bit counter-intuitive, but that's how it plays out). Also, the JRZs are considerably more adjustable.
