On 6/20/07 a 20 yr old kid stops by my house and says his father and him agreed on buying my S2000 and wants to test drive it to make sure everything was okay. So what can i say but go ahead. I was already in a serious accident 3 weeks prior to this crash with my father when he hit the wall at 60mph. I have a broken foot so I wasnt going to tag along on the test drive and didnt think anything was going to happen.

5 mins later this kid calls me and tells me he wrecks my baby. At first I thought he was only kiding until I hear the sirens of police/firemen in the background. This moron kid says he wasnt pushing it or wasnt speeding but tells me that he was on 2nd gear doing 60mph. The trooper gave him a ticket for reckless driving and speeding. The speed limit there is only 45mph. You should never be doing 60mph at that spot (start of highway where traffic are merging) at 5PM on Wednesday during rush hour. What an idiot.

When I arrive at the scene I wasn't mad and just wanted to make sure that everyone wasnt hurt. I was very calm for a guy that been babying the car for 4 years and invested over $10k on mods. All I cared about was that I get compensated for the loss. Its been a week and this kid is trying to dodge from me and hiding. I do have full coverage and insurance will cover for the damage but they will not give me the amount him and i agreed on. i'm thinking he should be paying me for the difference between the market value and the agreed value + some money for increasing my insurance premium with the accident.

I'll be very interested to hear from you guys as to what I can do to collect from my loss and for his careless behavior. So sad as how someone can easily get away with this.
