Default So I was changing my air filter and...

So I decided that it was time to change my air filter...so on the weekend I went about doing this and popped off the cover and took off the filter only to find this:

A dead RAT!!! You wanna talk about a bad smell!!! It was pretty nasty! I cleaned out the inside of the air box with bleach and that still didn't get the smell completely out.

hope i dont suck in any rodents. lol

you should try and check to see if he chewed up anything in your engine bay.

my parents had a 03 Tl Type-s...and it had some rat damage lol..chewed up wires and shit and the tranny was effing up.
in tiptronic mode it wouldnt shift up, it would just keep hitting the limiter. terrible.

I don't think so. The rat probably went in through the opening in the front and did not know how to get out.

In the winter where it is could out, it is not uncommon for them to find some place warm and unfortunately that means your engine compartment. There have been cases where the rodents chew on the wires and hoses. =( And not covered by warrenty.
