Default Stolen License Plate

The other week I come back to my S to find the front license plate missing. I called it in to report it and order new plates.

I continued to drive my car however the last couple weeks (in Westchester, NY where you need a front plate) when I passed a local cop going over a bridge. I look in my rearview mirror and see him slam on the brakes and pull a U-turn on a busy road.

I make a quick left and he comes speeding after me with sirens. I explain to him that the plate was stolen, and I was sorry for driving without one. The officer says in a nasty way, "you were trying to dip from me in your little honda, huh?"

It turns out that this is the same and only officer who has ever given me a ticket (3 in my lifetime...one for "illegal tints", one for "illegal exhaust", and one for an "improper lange change.") I don't know where this post is going but I just wanted to vent...anyone have similar experiences with a stubborn cop against kids (I am 21) with sports cars?

On a side note, is there any way to get out of this ticket, and does it involve points on my license?---Mike

License plate should just be a fix it ticket. Get the new plate, go to the court date and show that you have the plate on your car and should be good to go. Can't imagine it would add points. . .especially given the fact the state should have on record that you ordered a new plate already.

OP, keep whatever documentation they gave you when you ordered the plates with you just in case. I'd bring them with you when you contest the ticket.

Sounds like the cop is just a dick. Follow the above suggestions and you should be fine.

the license plate adds critically needed downforce and adds some aero drag to keep the wild s2k speeds under control.
