Default Stock fan switch thread is to small for my Koyo

My stock fan switch won't fit into my new Koyo Radiator. The threads on the Koyo are alot bigger. Did anyone elses come with an adaptor or did the stock switch fit into it? I hate shit like this when a 1 hr job turns into a 3 hour job.

My Koyo aluminium radiator whent very very smooth without such problems. I have an AP1 and don't know what happens in a MY 06 like yours. Good luck.

Thanks. Thats what I was trying to find out. My koyo for some apparent reason doesn't use my stock fan switch. What a bunch of BS. Either its the shops fault that ordered it or mine is just sort of freak deal. My neighbor will be making me a fitting that will go into the Koyo radiator. Thank God I have good neighbors!

Phil, Phil, Phil...how many times do I have to tell you bro? If you have a question like this ask me first because chances are I have already encountered and resolved issues like this.

The fan switch on the MY06+ is different from prior years in that it is smaller and I believe functions different than PY fan switches as well. You need to have a machine shop weld a smaller bung into the Koyo radiator so that the factory fan switch can be used.

An no, using something like a Mugen fan switch is not an alternative as the OEM fan switch connector has a different type connector and is therefore not compatible.

Again, come to me first Phil!

Just go get a fan switch from an AP1.

You can't use a fan switch from an AP1 or from an AP2 (MY04-05) as the factory fan switch plug on the MY06+ is not compatible.

It's just 2 wires and you can cut and reconnect them. No big deal.
