Your Vintage Community Organizers, S1997, and Dean, would like to welcome you to the Vintage Forum. Please send any PMs regarding Vintage membership to the current COs - Jim (S1997) or Dean (dean).
"Vintage," as we define it, does not refer to the age of our cars, though many of us are car collectors and aficionados. Instead, we like to think that "Vintage" refers to our deep, collective understanding of the human experience as gained from the passage of time.
If you would like to become a part of our community, please read the rules below and post here whatever introductory information you want to provide publicly. You can PM (private message) other information to S1997 or dean. We also would like you to post here any introduction you want to provide to let us know a bit about you, and any pictures you want to share.
Membership Rules & Regulations:
1. The minimum age required for full membership is 40 years.
2. Productive input from younger (under 40) owners is also encouraged. We call these folks "PreVints," or "The Little Table", and, though we cannot issue a membership badge, we welcome their participation.
3. Long signatures are discouraged in this thread, since photos posted here will already challenge folks without broadband.
4. The Vintage COs reserve the right to delete pictures that are not significant to the S2000 Vintage Owners group.
Membership Procedure:
The following information is what we would like from you. Some of this information you may not choose to post here, such as your real name, address, birthday and phone numbers. You can PM these to us - your privacy will be strictly guarded and we will only use this information when necessary to contact you (i.e., for meets).
Your real name, full address, birthday, S2000 year and ext/int colors, and phone number where we can get in touch with you. Also include your spouse's (or +1's) information. Finally, you are welcome to join but NOT receive the Vintage badge, if you choose; please indicate if you don't want the badge.
Location and year/color of your S2000 appear under your avatar (if you put your location in your profile).
Note: PMs can be sent by clicking on the PM button beneath this post, or from the "MyS2K" tab at the top of your screen. Select PM menu option "Compose New Message."

Just noticed W1ngman (Dave) and matrix (Marco) hadn't been added to the roster, so I corrected that oversight. Also, added new members Rdrunner (David), mafs2000 (Mike) and Leopardsocks (Stephen). Welcome, Newbies!!

Thanks for taking the time to reformat the thread and re-establish a friendly place for newbie 'sign-up'
It's too bad that all those 'subscribing' to the original 2003 'Roster' thread are no longer 'notified' about a new post, with the attendant easy opportunity to check out who's just joined up
I also think it's a shame that the 'hometown' info is no longer shared with everyone.....since it's often now omitted on the profile.

It seems very few actually have their hometown (including state) to their profiles. It's always nice to know where people are from.
