I still say that the whole sucking water thing is BS. I have it installed...to suck water, I would have to drive through water that was more than halfway up my wheels, and do it fast enough that the water could be sucked in before the engine could die.

The intake is protected by the plastic undertray, so you would have be in deep water for several seconds for the water to get into that position.

My 2 cents,
Tanq

the problem with AEM is, when you install the ABV, it lose some hp.
then, what is the purpose of getting AEM CAI?
but, without in, you have to be extra careful with it cuz of the water sucking problem..
and you have to drill your panel in case to let CAI suck in the air..
I don't know how C-West set up is...but I think if you are in a bad luck... then you will have to drill a hole on your bumper if you buy AEM CAI...(if your bumper cover that piece of panel)..but Comptech doesn't..!!
I don't mean Comptech is the best... but that is the reason why I sold AEM CAI for the CT CAI..

AEM doesn't say to remove the fake brake ducts, Injen does. AEM asks that you cut out a square in the corner of the undertray in front of the radiator, where it can't be seen.

There are dynos showing AEM/Injen gain hp and torque. I haven't seen any dynos for the Comptech.

I would go with the CT because it is a lot easier to install and does not leave all that open space. The filter is also easily accessible I believe. I plan on getting one of these sometime.

It's been said that the AEM has a lot of "grunt" in the bottom 1/2 of the rev range and seem to be a bit "breathless" near redline. For those who have the CT, how does yours compare in this respect?
