Mine have gotten quite dull over the winter and I'm wondering what is the best way to get the shine back?

I would assume any chrome cleaner/polish would do the trick.

when i wash the car i don't bother cleaning off the exhaust tips or the rims. Instead after i dry the car minus exhaust tips and rims i take a wax applicator pour a 1/2 capfull of zaino Z-7 on the applicator and apply this to the exhaust tips without the use of water, i then proceed to remove the Z-7 with a 100% cotton towel, i do the same procedure for the rims and i love the results. It gives the exhaust tips and rims a blueish tint when reflected in the sun or strong lighting. I use to Z-2 the rims & occasionally still do, but i prefer the blueish hue the Z-7 does for them more. Sorry for the OT.

In the past I have used a product called Autosol on exhaust tips. With the S2000, I just use the normal wash (Meguiars) with a different sponge. If they eventually do lose their shine, I will start using the Autosol again.

I have also used Never Dull , but if they really have been neglected you might want to try Mothers Chrome Polish and Cleaner...

Bit of decent chrome polish and a fair bit of effort does the trick.

Watch out for the inner rim of exhaust - its like a razor!
The cloth I used was fairly thin and as i polished round the end, the inner rim went straight through and sliced through my thumb! Niiiice!

I have had the pleasure of slicing my thumb as well. I use regular soap and water most of the time, but if they are really dirty I have used BarKeepersFriend. It is a stainless steel cleaner I use on my cookware.
