bay area tuners/shops/service master list?
would be great if we could compile a list of good (and bad) shops of various sorts along with contact info for the good ones. i've seen similar lists for other cars (common for miatas).
i figure there are three categories (with some overlap):
1) Honda Dealers Service Departments
2) non Dealer shops of various sorts
3) performance tuners
I've heard good things about the following (but all are second hand):
Anderson Honda (south bay)
Dynospot Racing (south bay)
PR Motorsports (east bay)
First hand experience (with what you had done) would probably be great.

Ive used PR Motorpsorts (www.prmotorsports.com) when I had my miata, and its a great shop. Rick Weldon (the owner) is a car nut, and while they specialize in Miata's and RX7's, I have no doubt they'd treat S2k owners just fine.
Oh, and if we ever organize a track day, let me recommend we offer a free slot to Rick as an instructor. He used to drive for the factory Mazda team and a couple of laps with him at the wheel of my miata, then a couple of laps with him in the passenger seat giving tips did wonders for my smoothnes.

hey i just made up a quickbase database to store this info. you can access it here :
https://www.quickbase.com/db/6snmif2i
anyone can view it, but login/pass is bays2k/s2000 to add or modify records.
it was real easy to setup the db and each user gets three databases for free so if people like it we could use them to all sorts of information.

How many active Bay Area owners are there on this board?
I am very interested in sharing information and developing a set of shops and service contacts. I wonder if there is any one dealership that has done more volume of S2K's than the others, and if that is the case if they are also more experienced on the service side?
I bought my car at Hopkins and got the impression that they haven't sold too many of them.
