WARNING: If You Had The Window Motor (or Relay) Replaced
I had mine replaced back in September. It went out AGAIN!
I noticed the auto feature didn't work the other day, then yesterday I pushed the button to lower the top and the driver's window went down about an inch and stopped. I HATE going to the service department. All I get is BS everytime I go. Oh well, it's time for an oil change anyway.

I don't know what the Honda problem is but they have repeatedly diagnosed this problem as the master switch for many of us initially. By at least your third visit they finally replace the window motor assembly.
1st visit: diagnose as master switch, will order part.
2nd visit: replace master switch, no fix, next stab in dark, order part.
3rd visit: replace motor assembly if they stabbed correctly in the dark.
Future visit: POS Motor Assembly craps out again (Molly W) start cycle again.
I don't think it has been a Master Switch for any of us. The problem, which you can see schematically in the Helm Manual on page 22-121, is with the pulser (they call it the DETECT CIRCUIT) which is part of the motor assembly. The test for this "DETECT CIRCUIT" is on page 22-127 (bottom left col). Maybe they should get a copy to the dealers
Once they pull their heads out and start diagnosing the problem correctly, maybe then they can start working out a fix for WHY we are going through so many of these assemblies instead of just replacing the units repeatedly until .................. the warranty runs out?

mine has yet to be replaced, mainly because of the fact that while the car was in for the new clutch (mid December) the window started working fine.
Its started acting up again, but I might just wait until its consistently doing it before I take it in again... just glad to know its the motor and that I can tell them this in helping their "diagnosis"...

They replaced the motor the first time. I guess the "new" one was a POS like the original. Mine had started working again the first time too but, I was taking it in for several other things and decided to get that fixed too. Maybe I should have stuck with the first one. This time the window only goes down about an inch and stops.
Should toss my hat into the ring here too. I have ~6k miles on my '00, and the Auto-Down function for my driver's side window has been broken for 500mi or so.
It doesn't appear to impede the function of the top, so I'm waiting until my 1st service to get it taken care of. Looks like I should point them directly to the motor...
Thanks,
Scott.
