Default Who has the widest wheels/tires w/o a widebody?

Please post pics and specs. No widebody kits, flares, or crazy camber. Rolling/trimming the fender lips are a necessity in my opinion as the wheels look much more aggressive flushed with the body. My buddy has 18X10's in the back with 285 tires but, I still see at least another inch to play with. I will be going for the record . Oh, and please don't tell me I would need a lot of power to run these as I'm working on it constantly

ok like i said i have 17x9 +63 offset wheels all around..my tire size is 235/40 for the front & i have 255/40 for the rear..........with this setup you will definitely rub in the front.
Now ppl here said my tires may rub & with some fender modifications i would be fine NOT THE CASE......this may only be a problem on 06 & 07 but your front wheels will rub on the control arms & grind your wheels away.
To solve this problem you will need 15mm spacers & extended wheel studs...The other problem i ran into was putting the spacers on for the front wheels...this is not an easy task ( im not a mechanic i just know ppl who are & they helped me so feel free to chim in ) they said if they take the hub off it will break & i will need new speed sensors & they said something about my spindel i dont know..all i know is that it would of coast me alot of money in parts & labor..So heres what we did....................

we cut a piece of the backing plate

then we filed some metal off of the spindel so we could fit the wheel studs threw

didnt want to file to much away from the spindel so we also filed a little off the wheel studs

painted black

The rear wheel spacers will go on with out any problems..........hope this helps & like i said.. doing it this way will save you alot of money in parts & labor......And for you ppl that are woundering if it holds up...ive done some autox with this setup & it holds just fine

Any pics of with wheels on the car? Also, how fast have you've driven? Have you topped 150MPH yet? Reason I ask is that the overall diameter of the tires are uneven (due to different wideness + same ratio side walls for those not familiar). I tried something like your's on my BMW but a little more aggressiveness and ended up with the ABS and Traction control lights coming on a little after 60MPH. Long story short, had to waste more money getting the overall diameter closer. Thanks
