Bulletproof S2000 GT - The Real JDM Comes Alive
New photo first, then first post below:

So the secret had to come out at some point. I've been building my own S2000 again...after a five year hiatus since my last S2000 build up. This is still my original car that I bought back in '99...I cant ever give this baby up, its my passion and the reason why I started Bulletproof in the first place.
For the past nearly 8 years through Bulletproof I've been advising thousands of S2000 owners on JDM tuning and what are the best parts to fit their needs. I've had the benefit of having influence in so many of our customer's S2000 that I'm very proud of. And yet, I've never really been able to go all out and do exactly what I wanted 100%, just an idea here and an idea there... That day has finally come and I've been very secretive of it for a while. The first hint was when we released our Bulletproof "remix" hardtop, that was the first official project for my S2000 buildup. The first of many original parts we're building to create what I consider to be my own personal ultimate S2000.
At Honda's S2000 Homecoming event tomorrow 725 S2000 owners will be able to critique this creation in progress. Some will undoubtedly hate it, and I'm cool with that. Some may love it and that'd bring me great joy. In the end, I built it to satisfy my own creative needs. I am around high end JDM parts all day every day and I wanted to finally build something entirely my way so that I could test myself and push my own limits of creativity. Needless to say, doing so does not yield a conservative car. This car is aggressive in all forms, but aims to do it tastefully and most importantly, functionally. For the sake of innovation and the love of the S2000, I'm doing a lot of one-off parts for this car, some of which will become production items (the hardtop is the first, you'll see more later).
The car will officially debut at SEMA 2007 at the Toyo Tires booth. Tomorrow's Honda homecoming event is the only planned appearance between now and SEMA since a lot more must be completed on the car. It clearly is no where near done visually, performance wise or anything else. It has a long way to go.
For now, here are some sneak peak photos. More information can be found on my blog:

As with all of our cars we're a part of, all parts are authentic (no knockoffs ever!), and only the highest quality parts were used.
The exterior which is still incomplete and awaiting more parts to be installed (nevermind the fact that paint and graphics have not been started), already is featured using two different widebody kits and a whole lot of custom original work that nobody has ever seen or attempted (just look at the sideskirts and how the Amuse GT1 and Tracy Sports GT widebodies were linked up for an idea of what I mean)

I dont want to blow the lid on any future surprises, but lets just say that I have a lot of my friends in Japan (owners of a lot of the top tuning shops over there) involved in creating some original things for this car.
I want this car to bring the US tuning scene up to the par of the top cars you'd see at Tokyo Auto Salon. I hope it will inspire some people to innovate more and copy less, that is the one MAIN weak point right now in the US.

FYI, the wheels are the "street setup", at SEMA it will use different rims...I just love the top secret Volks too much.
Color - I cant say. There is a lot left secret on this car, but I assure you that if you like it now, it'll blow your mind when its done.

ok, I need to wrap up at the office so that I can be at Honda's big event tomorrow morning with the car.
I'll check back in next week. In the meantime, anyone at the event can feel free to post photos of the car up here.
PLEASE - Do not PM me, I'm too short on time to answer PMs on S2ki. Email me at ben@bulletproofautomotive.com if you'd like...
