Default 1st Annual Fall Crawl

This will be a little over two hour drive through central Massachusetts, with the sign of the foliage changing already this should be a very scenic drive. At the same time it's a very nice drive as you can see by the map below there are definitely some twisty roads on the drive. The drive will start in Fiskdale and will end with dinner at Rom's Restaurant in Sturbridge. We will leave my house at 2:00pm. Dinner will be at 5:00pm.

For those participating I will PM you directions to my house.

Sorry I can't make it. I know those roads well. I'm sure you'll have a great time.
Looking at the map, you'd get more fun twisties by getting to Ware from Sturbridge via Warren. You would take a left onto Apple Road from route 148 out to Southbridge Road into Warren. From Warren, you'd go left onto Route 67 into West Warren then right onto Ware Road over a decent sized hill into Ware and left back onto Route 9. I drove that route many times in 1972. Sometimes heading in the reverse direction at 2 or 3 in the morning.
Use caution in Belchertown. The locals are fond of giving out tickets.

Check your calendar, Ellen. That is a long weekend for some, Columbus Day. Maybe you have the Monday off?

*I* could take Monday off but I don't think Joe has it or can take any more time in October... I've already got him taking 1 day off for Fall Colors and 2 for Watkins Glen

I will ask him if I can go by myself though

I think we found some of those roads Al is mentioning last year when we went to the Reservoir, then on to Rom's. Nice twisties.

Looking forward to the "Crawl", Jim.
