Default Engine let go last nite...

My engine went last nite in the S....

Car was only service 4000kms ago from a honda garage and the car also has a full service history from that garage..Car only has 13,000 miles on the clock..It an 03 car..

Either the big ends or the mains have spun cause a very loud knocking noise in the engine...Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone know of this happening...

I would be pushing very hard for something out of Honda.

If its unmodified and had plently of oil in, then id say its not very good for a low mile car to do this!

So does this open the question about low mileage cars? I've always found that cars I've bought with lower than average miles have caused me more problems. I guess it's either a lot of short trips, or just sitting around not be used.

Nothing this extreme, but it does make you wonder if the lack of use is part of the reason.
