GT Motoring - S2000 RR -2007 Super Lap Battle car
Well, we've been back in the shop pulling the S2000 apart and putting it back together. Changing some parts, deleting others all together, leaving some of you wondering whats next?
We decided it would be fun to build the S2000 CR that most tuners and Road Racers would really want. So we made an "S2000 RR" We took what is a great concept from honda, the RR, and added some of the tuners parts to make it just right.
Also, because we will be launching a bunch of Street/Race orientated GTm branded parts soon, this car would be a great test platform for those that not only drive the car daily, but track the cars at autoX's or HPDE's regularly.
We have spent the past 3 months testing a new S2000 Coilover suspension for Endura-Tech. They are a Japanese manufacturer that has more recently come to the US. They are owned by the company that manufactures all the oem springs and valve springs for Honda. They make all all the coilover product Endura-Tech sells as well. It's been a great experience working with them, and tuning out the suspension just right, so that it can take a beating on the street, as well as the track. The new coilovers should be released after SEMA sometime. We will release them for sale on the forums of course.
The S2000 is off to SEMA end of this week, then to Califonia for the 2007 Super Street - Super Lap Battle Finals at Buttonwillow. This car will be competing in the Street class so itll be wearing the Bridgeston RE01R tires
I've included a few photos of the car from just after i assembled most of it. Excuse the dust, cob webs and dirty wheels! I'll post up some clean/finished photos end of this week.
FYI, the CR parts we sourced for the car are amongst the first released. We will offer all the CR spec parts for sale shortly for those interested. The new GTm parts (exhausts etc) are not yet pictured. They will debut as SEMA.
Enjoy the pics for now!

I've heard of their functionality, but I'm now starting to dig how that CR lip looks. Best of luck to you guys at the battle, and I'm lookin' forward to hearing more about that coil setup.
That lip still looks huge in pictures....I've seen Greg's car in person; the lip looks amazing in real life. It isnt' as big and bulky as looks in pics.
Hopefully Greg, you're in today a bit later this afternoon, I want to try and stop by to see this in person again.
BTW, did you et the interior back in?
**just noticed something missing; did the spacers not work out with the other wheels?**
