I have driven them in a test but I was not overly impressed. They were good but nothing special.

Blue... The old DZ101's sucked but these look better.

Jim so you don't like the new ones compared to the old DZ101's?

i have them on.. about 5k miles on them and i have to say that they are not the best as far as grip is concerned specially in wet pavements. i get quite a bit of tail whips on turns. i have to straighten the car back up when coming out of turns before stepping on the gas again. overall they are ok. all i got to say is that i wont be getting them again.

here's my set up:

225/40/18 front on 18x8 +49
255/35/18 rear on 18x9.5 +55

yea tell me about it. i had dz101's before and i did TONS of burn outs on them just to wear them out so had an excuse to replace them hehehe. i was hoping the Z1 would be pretty good...i wanted to get the grip of the azenis, but without it's hydroplaning characteristics...and not too sure if i am willing to fork out the cash for the re-01r's

I would get the RE-01R's if it was me if you don't DD your car. Tires are the only thing keeping you on the road so don't skimp.

That's my next set of tires. Now I just gotta save up for them!

My friend w/ an Evo8 says he likes it so far. He DD's it too. He said not as good as Re-01R's of course but also cheaper.

i have 01r and to me it is better than stock 050. I picked them up cause tirerack had it on sale 225/45 for $125 and 245/40 for $160, so that was a deal.
