Default Decided to go Turbo and need help

Well i decided i want to go turbo. Here is the list of what i am getting so far and i just wanted to know if there is anything else i NEED:

inlinePRO turbo kit
3mm head gasket
inlinePRO Dual Valve springs, titanium retainers
CP Pistons (but i dunno what size i need)
inlinePRO Connecting Rods (dunno what size i need)
Stage 3 clutch
exhaust

do i need to upgrade my injectors? (looking for 400whp) and i plan on getting AEM Plug & Play Engine Management System but do i need it when i do all the installing of the rest of the parts? And Billman if you see this will this be project you are willing to take on? I just what to get everything i need for this project and do it right the first time. Thanks guys

why don't you just take it down to inline pro. they'll be much more help to you since you're using most of their stuff.

I would spend the extra money and do the Ball Bearing Turbo Upgrade and 880cc or 1000cc Injectors .

What power are you looking for? Why go for the pistons? You do know that the F20-22C1 motor has FRM bores, and regular pistons won't work... You will need to have your motor built, i.e. machine out your current bores and put in sleeves... This is mid 3k to 5k depending on what you do and who you use. on top of rebuilding the motor and the turbo kit!

that would then negate the 3mm headgasket as you would then use the regular oem headgasket.

I would write out a plan on what you want to do, what you will use the car for, what you budget is etc... before just throwing out random products.

for a 400whp setup I would use:
AEM EMS
3mm Headgasket
750cc RC injectors (can go lower, but gives you some breathing room)
any manifold (even the most inefficient ones will make 400whp on 93 octane)
GT30R for lots of midrange and enough uptop for your power (reborn56 made 495whp with it)
ACT clutch kit
Tune ( i would recommend Jeff Evans)
tubing and piping if you want to go for it yourself... or just buy a kit (saves alot of time and going back and forth to your welder... ask me how i know)
3inch DP and exhaust, although i made 384whp wiht 2.5inch DP and stock exhaust

are you looking to do this work yourself?

Also, the stock block has been found to handle 300-500whp on lots of setups with just a lowered headgasket. That power is more than enough for a lot of people.

I recommend you start checking out the Forced Induction forums! There are many knowledgeable people on this site!
Let me know if i can be of any help!

Do it right the first time!

thanks i am not going to be doing any of this myself. I have a budget but like you said i want to do it right the first time. I mean I want a set up where I have some solid power(nothing crazy like 500whp) more than a supercharger and can be daily driven if need be. maybe one day I can sit down with you and marcus and map out my plan on this project. I really want to get a list of parts I will need first so I know what I need to save for and how long it will take me to save. But thanks again for getting me off on the right start.

Well, to start, you have overlapping jobs. any will cost more if you do them in the wrong order.

Providing the engine lower end is staying stock:

-First thing to do is the Clutch. Clutch labor will be much higher if you have to pull a turbo out to do the clutch.

-second is the 3mm headgasket.

-third is the turbo install.

I can do the clutch and 3mm install. for guarantee reasons, let inline pro install the turbo.
