Default Torque Lug Nuts? How Much?

i've searched and some say 90 stock is 80?.....

I have Volk GTU rims
18.8 225tire
18.9 255tire

Car is lowered 1.5inches

Should i torque to 85? Since these wheels are 18's and much heavier?

Thanks, Steven

Also will uneven tire pressure cause my wheel studs to break?
Or a Bent Rim, that was repaired?

They're supposed to be torqued to 80 lb-ft. You can get away with 85 but keep in mind that the studs will last longer if not excessively strained. So I wouldn't go 90 and higher.

I torque mine to 80.

do torque specs vary by rim manufacturer? I'm not really sure but it seems to me like different materials should be different settings, no?

does anyone here have WORK meister S1 3piece? what torque did you use?

You're welcome. One caveat though.... they're taken from the shop manual for AP1 cars. I see you have an AP2. Frankly I'm not sure if the torque requirements for drain and fill plugs changed. Odds are no, but maybe someone in the know about AP2s can chime in here to validate.

Addendum: the moderators cut my torque / volume cheat sheet for a seperate stickied thread. But here it tis again compiled from the AP1 shop manual:

--80 lb-ft wheel lug nuts
5.1 qt engine oil
--29 lb-ft drain plug
--16 lb-ft oil filter
1.56 qt transmission fluid
--29 lb-ft drain plug
--33 lb-ft filler plug
0.78 qt differential lube
--33 lb-ft drain plug
--33 lb-ft filler plug
6.9 qt radiator coolant
