Default Video/Sound clip of bad timng chain tensioner

For a few days my car has been making a noise in the engine bay, i recorded it tonight and want to see if anyone knows what it could be.

Someone told me it sounds like it could be a bad bearing or maybe a valve?
It does it mostly on hot starts and not every time, when you rev for 1 second the sound will go away.

What do you guys think...

ahhh that infamous rattling noise. its the sign of a dying timing chain tensioner (TCT). its about a $130 part and 30 min job. it controls the tension on your timing chain. s2000's are notoriously known to have TCT go out. a temporary fix is an oil change. PM "Billman250". he's a got a highly modified GenX TCT. As of yet, honda hasnt acknowledged that its a design flaw. its located under the VTEC solenoid on the bottom left part of the valve cover if your looking from the front.

ive replaced my TCT 2x on my ap1 when i still had it. a buddy of mine replaced his 2nd one within 10xxx miles of installing the 1st one.

Could it cause any problems, Will my engine get damaged, I wont be able to fix it for a week or 2 because i am not home. Should i take it to the dealership or would this be fixable at home?
Do you know where i could find instruction?

you should be fine...i wouldnt be hard on the car though...the last thing you need is your timing chain going out on you completely and then you'll have bigger issues such as valve train damage.

Heres the part you need

i cant find the write up....but do a search...its around..

Keep it out of VTEC, you should be fine.

I have a lifetime/modified unit with a permanent fix.
