Default Clutch's

Ok guys,

Nearly time for my new clutch.

What should i get

ACT Street disk with act flywheel $800
Toda Hi Power Single Clutch kit $1300
Exedy Hyper Single Clutch $1300

Are the toda or Exedy really worth the extra money?

billman would recommend an act pressure plate, oem disc, and a flywheel of your choice

I drove Bill's car yesterday, and the clutch in there is very stiff - if your car is a daily driver and you get stuck in traffic, better start exercising your left foot. I bet Bill is used to it and doesn't even notice how stiff it is anymore. But coming from my stock AP2 it was quite a difference.

Yeah i agree. Kinda want his input on the quality of each, and then best value for money. If i go act i will use their disk, as the pressure plate by itself is only $20 less than the full kit with the disk, stupid huh?

Mine is an older version of the ACT PP. The newer ones are not heavy effort like mine, they are much easier.

Do NOT use an ACT disc, you'll get clutch buzz.

Use ONLY an OEM disc, whether you are 200hp or 600hp.

ACT PP all the way for a pressure plate.

Toda, comptech, or ACT flywheel. NO aluminum flywheels.

I hate the Toda and exedy kits. Drive hows2kru's car or Nibbles car and you'll see why.

Yes it can....if you don't use an OEM disc you will regret it bigtime.
