Default UOA with 24,261 mile OCI

I recently did a Used Oil Analysis on my '03 S2000 after running 24,261 miles between oil changes. I used Amsoil Series 2000 0W-30 oil, and I'm running with a Dual Remote Bypass filter and a prelube pump that pressurizes the oil every time I start the engine:

I'm really happy with my results, and this setup has been working flawlessly. Here is more info on the setup:Bypass & Prelube Pump Setup I added 2.5 quarts of makeup oil over this time period - a total of around 14 months.

I thought I'd share this with you. Admittedly, this is overkill but I just wanted to see how I could get this engine to last as long as possible.

Impressive
Without a doubt this combinaton works very well.
Per driven mile this setup is probably better and cheaper then what the 3k mile/dino oil croud produce.
So everybody claiming they want The Best for their car should be linked to this topic with the words: Want the best? Do this.

It would be nice to have a "control car" doing the same miles on the same oil wihtout the bypass filters and the pre-lube.
That would show what the influence is of the non OEM parts.

Time to use a 0/5W-20 with this setup?

Nice, how much did the setup cost to buy and install?

Thanks for the compliments.

SpitfireS - I know what you're thinking, and I agree that it might be a better viscosity for my setup. But I just don't have the guts. Besides - 0W-30 is working so well. I'd be tempted to try Shell Helix Ultra, but they don't sell it on this side of the pond.

As I mentioned in the linked thread above, it cost around $400. It might be a few bucks more today.

My oil/filter changes at the dealer are less than $30, and with my maintenance schedule (regular/normal conditions) which are 7500miles or 1 year between oil changes per the owners manual, $400+ just doesnt seem realistic...considering after the cost of the $400+ you still have to buy the high grade amsoil oil for changes.

Not disregarding the thought or undermining the concept of what the Op has done, which is pretty cool in its own right; just pointing out the $$ differences for comparison.

I once thought of using the Amsoil "pre-charger" prelube on my previous SUV.
I know that there aren't any "kits" for this setup. I'm curious if you have any pictures of how you setup your dual remote by-pass filter and prelube charger?

Click the link in my first post. I show pictures of the setup. It's difficult to see how everything connects together in the picture, but my writeup gives the connection details.

The Ams-Oiler is a great idea, however I prefer a pump. This way, oil changes can be made with fresh oil and prelube pressure.

Thanks!
i was thinking, I will need a oil filter relocate kit, would this "remote by pass" be used in lieu of the oil filter kits for the turbo? And of course the S is dropped and will be driven aggressively. So should I just stay clear and change my fluids every 3k and maybe add the Amsoil precharger?

My remote bypass filter system hooks up using a filter relocation adapter, just like the ones used with turbos. But I'd be nervous about using my setup with a turbocharger because there is a significant backpressure increase with my system. It's fine without a turbo, but you would have to make sure that the added oil flow to a turbo doesn't cause the engine's pressure relief valve to open up excessively. You could add a spacer under the pressure relief valve spring to increase the allowable backpressure I guess.

But your idea of just doing regular oil changes and adding an Ams-Oiler may be a safer way to go. You may want to consider installing an Accusump rather than Amsoil's Ams-oiler. I believe someone else on this site is using one.
