Default AP2 rear spoiler.

I am considering putting an AP2 spoiler on my car.

Just curious if anyone has ever seen one in person and their opinions. I know most either love it or hate it. I have not seen one on the road or in person. Will I be the only one in St. Louis who has one???? I hope so!

I have the opportunity to buy a AP2 spoiler mounted on a trunk lid already in my color. I am thinking about switching out deck lids (because of the extra hole in my lid) and keeping the AP1 and seeing how I like the AP2. If I REALLY like it, and the paint matches good, then I may have a trunk lid with spoiler for sale soon...if anyone is interested.

I like it but no you would not be the only one. There is a GPW AP2 I spot driving occasionally. He has one mounted.

I've seen several in the St. Charles area. Propably the GPW referred to by Doug, as well as a Berlina Black.

Not sure if I like it or not.

To each their own - I thought about it too, but decided finally I prefer the AP1 spoiler. HA - then never purchased one anyway!

Consider Greg's Auto Care to color match your spoiler.

If you like your AP2 setup, I'll be in line for your trunk/spoiler. Do you have any dents in the lid?

I guess you are referring to the 'wing' opposed to the spoiler, correct?

Spoiler ->

Wing ->

Yeah, I'm not crazy about it either... but it's probably more functional than the spoiler. I think there are a few spoilers that really flow well with the S2000... one of them is the OEM spoiler. I also like the Veilside and BYS spoiler.

I don't believe any of the Honda spoilers/wings are functional. While the S2000 does create rear end lift at speed that a spoiler could help, according to some rough CFD data I saw the airflow does not reattach itself to the rear deck. The Honda wings, being so low, are just sitting in low pressure, low speed, turbulent flow. You'd need a higher mounted piece to do anything.

I don't have wind tunnel data, so obviously I could be mistaken, but as far as I can tell you'd just be spending money to show people that you spent money.

You could say that about the car itself. The car is the most impractical thing I own...let alone a spoiler. Not looking for function per say...just a new look to the car without swaying from OEM.

Rehile - No dents in the current deck lid.

Keith - yes the wing. I like it...just having a tough time finding a photo with the soft top up. Everything I find is with the hard top.

Sometimes, that's the most important thing for an upgrade

Just looking out for you guys and making sure people aren't disillusioned to the actual benefits of these products.
