Just wanted to thank Wantabe for hosting the meet. I think we all had a great time including the six of us who afterword went for a drive by the beach and around Palos Verdes. I'll try to post some photos on Sunday evening. Hey anyone who's interested, tune into KABC Talk Radio at 10:00AM on Sunday Jan. 21, I'll be the guest on the show for an hour or so. Sorry the topic isn't the Stook but I will be discussing digital photography, printing etc.

See ya

Now if everyone would have got the hell out of our way! Too much traffic in PV.

Bummer on the traffic. Should have joined the group from Camarillo for the pre-meet drive. Very little traffic, and some great canyon roads. Great time had by all.

I'd also like to thank Mike (Wanabe) for his great hospitality in organizing this event. Couldn't have been a better day - and all those S2Ks were just sparkling in the sun. The best thing was meeting friends we've made here on the board, who till then had just been usernames. Thanks also to Ron (S2WOOOw), Al (Prolene) and Aaron (Strike) for a fantastic drive through the Santa Monica mountains. Pretty scary stuff, but highly exciting taking some of those twisties up to 70 mph. Following the pack I couldn't help being impressed as the others took those bends like they weren't even there; the tires sticking like glue. What a great car we have! I can't wait till the next meet and see all those gorgeous S2Ks together again.

Thanks for a great day Mike. Also, please thank your neighbors for letting us use their beautiful complex.

I've transferred the pics I took, from here, to this link in the Photo Gallery: http://www.s2000online.com/forums/showthre...56942#post56942

A fantastic meet. Thanks, Wanabe! I am very much in favor of another one with a run and dinner!!!!

The trip though the mountains premeet was an eye opener. Strike skillfully went through those corners and was able to stop and let his car cool while the rest of us caught up. I was smelling brakes and was concerned about brake fade (didn't happen) so I think I will change the brake fluid before such a run to give myself a little more confidence about that. My Dunlop SP8000s have always felt like they lean on the sidewalls unlike the oems or the A032Rs. Wish I had one of the latter for that fantastic run. Beautiful scenery. Thanks for planning that route, S2WOOOW!

Thanks again WANABE we also had a great time. It was the first time I had seen more than one s2000 in one place. It was an amazing rush when the meet broke up and we all left out of there at the same time. Just to see 20 s2000 at the stoplight was very cool.

1Y2K S2K The mystery lady was my wife, Mrs. ITEACH. Thanks for including her in several pics. I am the one on her left in the first pic.

clive- great photos!
more photos are at:

- one correction to the finish on my black car- not "zyno'd", that is 3 or 4 coats of "finish first" on it... and i would also agree that the best part was meeting everyone.
