Default What would you want ?

As the title says, I am looking for what people would want/expect from a European meet.

I have a couple of idea already which are :

- Karting
- Possible circuit day
- Group drives most likely in the Alps
- Restaurant in evenings

Please post your own suggestions and I will add them to the list.

Thank you.

Suggestions so far

Driving Based Activities
Karting
Trackday
Rally with Road Maps/Treasure Hunt/Activity based drive
1 Full day out on the road - Early morning to evening
Late night drive - "Midnight Run"

Non Driving Car Related Activities
Workshops - Chassis/Geometry Tuning/Dyno
Car Detailing Seminar/Workshop
Large Photo Shoot - all cars in attendance
Meet & Greet/Tyre Kicking Session
Resellers - Sales and Demonstrations

Social Activities
Hotel with good facilities ie Spa etc
Auction For Charity

I have to agree with the Swizerland idea.

You can drive passionate if you are alone but if you are a huge group you WILL be noticed by the local authorities.

If there is a drive I suggest everyone gets a 'road map' an is driving at his own pace, for sur enot in a group.

There will be regroupings every now and then (maybe every hour or two).

Karting is a good idea, track day as well.

Depends on how many days we are looking at?!

The dates we are initially looking at Stocky are the 11/12/13 April 2009.

The reason for these dates is that 13 April is the only shared public holidayin Europe. Of course the meet can be longer if people wish, but to begin with I thought it best to go for a weekend plus the public holiday.

One idea for the circuit day : If too many s2k drivers and european are present for this meeting, we can possibly rent a circuit like Paul Ricard (Le Castellet in South of France), which has a large infrastructure (hotel, and karting test track).

I don't know if it's exist a similar infrastructure in Italy (Monza?), Austria? Germany?

Rudy you link doesn't work.

The idea of renting a circuit is definitely one to consider.

My only problem with Paul Ricard would be its location as if we are to hold this meet in the Alps region it would take a minimum of 3 hours to get there. I think we need to learn the lesson from the meet that we had in Condom last year. The problem in Condom was that we had to drive quite a long way just to get to the good driving/nice scenery.

This doesn't mean that I am ruling out your idea, rather it would be better to find all the activities that we want to do in a close proximity to one location.

Good suggestions.

I've been looking for a list of circuits in both Austria and Italy, does anybody know a web page that holds all this information ?
