I got bored. So I bought a 1994 Dallara F394 (Formula 3 racecar). It's pretty insane. The entire car is made of carbon-fiber. Weighs 900-lbs. Powered by a Mugen-Honda MF-240 race motor (2.0L 4-cyl motor). Has Penske coilovers, Brembo 4-pot brakes, OZ race wheels, Michelin race tires, Mugen motor/ITBs/exhaust/CF restrictor airbox, Hewland 4-speed, Pi Research instruments... The car was raced by either Ralf Schumacher or Sascha Maassen back in 1994 (confirmed by Dallara Automobili, which driver unknown though). If it was Maassen, this car won Macau in 94. Senna's F1 engineer later acquired the car, threw out the Opel-Spiess motor and dumped in the Mugen-Honda powerplant. Anyway, trying to prep it to get it running. Hopefully I'll start training in it at a private racetrack in either late spring or early summer.
I'll be off-line for a month. Any questions will be answered later.
