Well a friend of mine has been building up his nsx for years. It is in the final stages of completion. He is the only person I know in the U.S. to have a genuine NSX Type-R wing and not a replica. Ben from bulletproof knows him personally and can vouch for this car. And the car has been modified alot more so this video is alittle out of date.

I just did a search on his car and saw the wing and it was exposed carbon. The nsx type-r wing was carbon but is painted black. The hood is carbon too but they also color match it to the paint. The only actual type-r hood and wing showing the carbon is on the show car that honda had. I could be wrong but thats from my understanding. unless he stripped the paint of a genuine type r wing but why would you do that?

 

I believe this is the only actual NSXR with the hood and wing exposed. If you look at any other picture that has a "REAL" NSXR wing it should be black and the hood should be color matched. Please correct me if I am wrong
