Default painted honda badges

I have searched this site up and down looking for someone who has either asked or done a painting of there honda badges. I know Rick's sells s bages and hlackened honda badges for relatively cheap but i dont really like the style. I dont like how its not a cutout like the stock H badge . I know the h emblem is riveted on meaning when you try to remove it it can either mess up your bumper and leave two holes in its place so i was wondering if anyone knows of anyone or has ever done this themselves. I figured you can just take off the front/ rear bumper put it in your garage and place tape all around the outside of the H symbol and then get something like lear packaging tape and place it over top of the whole H symbol and take a exacto knife or a razor blade being extremely careful not to cut your bumper and paintit that way.

If you guys think this is possible to do i would love to hear about it and also if anyone this this could be done neatly what paint to use for the plastic? emblems

You can easily remove your oe badges, give them a light sand with say 1000 gritt and then spary them with a primer, then after it dries, give them a coat of any colour you want and then give them another coat. Wait till dry and re install, if you find it isnt sticking you csn get soem 2 way tape and cut it small so it will stay on your car.

not my style but workes very well.

glue and sticker remover and dental floss to get it off and some 3m double sided tape to reinstall.

Very carefully. You should be able to remove the front emblem without damaging it (especially if you decide to remove the front bumper). I was able to keep one post intact but ended up breaking the second one due to impatience. Luckily it didn't matter as I was installing JDM badges.

Install is the opposite of removal, as usual.

Yes but aren't you planning on reinstalling the emblems?

3M makes tape specifically for emblems and such.

Tape is good enough for the S2000 on both of your front fenders.
